Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made from Young Writers (JM0614271-D), including courses, online learning access, student portal access, video lessons, digital materials, physical books, printed materials, and other education-related products or services.

By making a purchase, you agree to this Return & Refund Policy.

1. General Policy

We aim to handle refund and return requests fairly while protecting the integrity of our digital content, classes, materials, and business operations.

Refund eligibility depends on the type of product or service purchased, whether access has been provided, whether classes have started, whether materials have been delivered, and whether the request is permitted under applicable law.

All refund requests must be submitted by email to youngwritersmy@gmail.com with:

  • Customer name
  • Student name, if applicable
  • Order or payment details
  • Proof of payment
  • Reason for refund request
  • Supporting documents, if any

2. Online Courses, Classes, and Digital Access

Refunds for online courses, classes, student portal access, video lessons, or digital learning materials may be considered if:

  • The request is made before access is provided;
  • The class or service has not started;
  • There is a duplicate payment;
  • We are unable to provide the purchased service; or
  • A refund is required under applicable law.

Once access to online lessons, student portal content, videos, downloads, worksheets, notes, or other digital materials has been provided, refunds are generally not available unless approved by us or required by applicable law.

3. Course Packages and Partially Used Services

For course packages, instalment plans, bundles, or partially used services, any approved refund may be calculated after deducting:

  • Classes already attended or made available
  • Digital materials already accessed or delivered
  • Physical materials already delivered
  • Administrative, payment gateway, platform, or processing costs
  • Discounts, promotions, or bundle adjustments
  • Any other reasonable costs already incurred by us

We reserve the right to reject refund requests for missed classes, change of mind, lack of attendance, failure to use access, or personal scheduling conflicts, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

4. Physical Books and Printed Materials

For physical books, worksheets, or printed materials, return or refund requests may be considered if:

  • The item received is incorrect;
  • The item is damaged upon delivery;
  • The item has a manufacturing defect; or
  • The order was not fulfilled.

Returned items must be unused, not written on, not damaged by the customer, and returned with proof of purchase.

Return shipping costs may be borne by the customer unless the return is due to our error, incorrect item, or damaged item upon delivery.

5. Non-Refundable Items

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, the following are generally non-refundable:

  • Digital content after access has been provided
  • Downloaded materials
  • Completed classes
  • Missed classes due to personal reasons
  • Used or damaged physical materials
  • Promotional, discounted, clearance, or special-offer items stated as non-refundable
  • Registration, administrative, platform, or processing fees, where applicable
  • Services already performed or partially performed

6. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method used for the transaction.

For example, if payment was made by credit card, debit card, online banking, e-wallet, or another payment method, the refund will be processed back to the same original payment method where possible.

We do not normally refund to a different bank account, card, e-wallet, or third-party payment method unless the original payment method is unavailable, the payment provider requires another method, or we approve it in writing.

7. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, we will usually process it within 7–14 business days.

The actual time for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer, e-wallet provider, or payment gateway.

Payment gateway fees, bank charges, or transaction charges may not be refundable unless required by law or approved by us.

8. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel a registration or order, please contact us as soon as possible at youngwritersmy@gmail.com.

Cancellation approval depends on whether the class has started, access has been provided, digital materials have been delivered, or physical items have been shipped.

9. Abuse of Refund Policy

We reserve the right to reject refund requests or suspend services where we reasonably believe there is abuse, fraud, repeated refund requests, unauthorised sharing, chargeback misuse, or breach of our Terms & Conditions.
